Clinical Director, Researcher, & Former Professor

Bridging the Gap Between Science and Healing

I believe that therapy should be grounded in rigorous science, not just intuition. Before establishing Sequoia Counseling Group in the Las Vegas Metro, I spent over a decade as a Professor of Counselor Education. Having served on the faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), DePaul University, and Kent State, I have trained hundreds of clinicians in the latest evidence-based treatments.

A Legacy of Research

My clinical approach is shaped by my background as a researcher. I have authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications focusing on the intersections of stress, perfectionism, and coping. My work has been cited over 2,700 times by other scholars and is utilized by clinicians nationwide to improve client outcomes.
